Picture of a horse barn in Medfild MA featured in the book "100 Most Beautiful Horse Barns in America."
Birds eye maple for the ground, curly maple for the sky, walnut, mahogany, and cherry for the barn.
Oak is used for the shutters and eaves because its grain matches the texture of the original photograph.
Images in this series are made by a photo interpretive process where a photograph is computer
processed to yield a line drawing which is then glued to veneer. The veneers are cut with
a knife and taped into the final picture. A critical part of the process is selecting appropriately colored veneers.
